How do I rent a costume?
Choosing your costume is fun! We recommend coming to Carol’s for a fitting and having our stylists find the best look for you. Once the costume is chosen, you can take you costume home or have the costume reserved for your future date. Payment & security deposit must be processed by the time the costume leaves the store. Rentals can also be made over the phone by Visa or MasterCard. Carol’s also accepts cash and debit for in store purchases. All sales are final.
How long do I have my rental costume for?
Carol’s understands your life is busy so we have extended the rental time period from 2 nights to 1 week! Whether you use the costume for 5 minute presentation or all 7 days the price remains same giving you additional time to return the costume. As there is no drop box, all rentals must be returned during store hours. Each additional day required beyond the first week is only 25% of the original rental rate.
What are the rental rates?
With a diverse range of costumes and accessories, prices range from $15 - $200 per costume. Average rates are approximately $75.
What is a security deposit?
Every rental has a specific security deposit amount which must be covered by the time the costume leaves the store. Security deposits are the value of the costume if it lost or damaged. The rental includes the basic cleaning rate but excessive stains or damage will be accessed on an individual basis. If covering your security deposit with Visa or MasterCard, Carol’s takes an imprint on the card. If one does not a have credit card, full payment can be made with cash or debit and will be refunded when the costume is returned.
Do I need to make an appointment?
If you are costuming a show or have a large group with specific needs we recommend making an appointment. If you are looking for a costume and heading to a party, corporate or school function we recommend dropping by during store hours where our friendly stylists will help you with your needs.
How early can I reserve my Halloween costume?
September 1 the season begins!
Can I try costumes on?
Carol’s believes the only way to know if it looks great is to try it on! Exceptions include lingerie, hosiery, false eyelashes and make-up.
Do you do alterations?
Carol’s finds the best fitting garment for your style and body type. We do not do alterations nor allow alterations to be done on our rental collection.
Do you have costumes for children or plus size?
We specialize in adult sized costumes and accessories. Approx. 10 years of age starts to fit into our collection. Carol’s carries a range from adult women’s size 2-18 and men’s small to xlarge.
